Meet Grant
Shared by Grant’s mother, KristyAge 12
Grant is finishing up 5th grade and will be a middle schooler next year. He loves to hang out at home with his brothers and play video games with his friends.
Grant had early puberty and advanced bone age due to high androgen levels.
He was taking 22.5 mg of hydrocortisone daily, but those high steroid doses gave him “moon face” and overall puffiness.
Grant participated in the clinical study for CRENESSITY in children.
Goals for starting CRENESSITY: It was frustrating to have no options other than steroids to manage his hormone levels. We hoped that with CRENESSITY we would see his androgen levels go down.
- His androgen levels are down by about 14% and continue to be well managed.
- Since his androgen levels improved, we were able to lower his steroid dose from 22.5 mg daily to 12.5 mg daily.
- Within a few months of decreasing his steroid dose, we noticed his “moon face” and puffiness went away.
We've had a great experience with Neurocrine Access Support. They've helped us navigate the process of accessing CRENESSITY.
Kristy and Grant are paid partners of Neurocrine. Grant has classic CAH and is taking CRENESSITY. Information here reflects Kristy and Grant’s personal experience with CRENESSITY.
